Family Safety includes being ready for any type of emergency or disaster that a family may experience.  You can help a family you care about teach their children how to dial 911, store food and water and have essential supplies on hand if the power should go out.  Families today are stretched in terms of time and resources.  By giving parent's the gift of preparedness, you give them confidence and security.  Read more about how the Safe House gift box provides family safety.


The Home Safety Council has these suggestions for families:


·         Decide in advance where you will take shelter.


·         Identify escape routes from your home and neighborhood.


·         Designate an emergency meeting place for your family to reunite

           if you become separated.

·         Establish a contact point to communicate with concerned relatives.


·         Take video and photographs of the contents of your home and the exterior.
