Features of Each Gift Box
Home Safety includes being ready for any type of emergency or disaster that a family may experience. You can help a family you care about by teaching their children how to dial 911, storing food and water and having essential supplies on hand if the power should go out. Today families are stretched in terms of time and resources. By giving families the gift of safety, you give them confidence and security.
The Ready Home Gift Boxes come in three sizes: safe, safer and safest. Each is complete with emergency supplies, food and water. They all include poison control and 911 emergency stickers for posting on or near telephones. Also included are the American Red Cross and FEMA brochures “Food and Water in an Emergency” and “Preparing for a Disaster”. A flashlight with batteries is included in each gift box as well as a whistle and 3-way can openers. In addition, each Ready Home gift box includes a pack of playing cards for those who may feel a bit lost without their electronic entertainment.
The safer size Ready Home Gift Box includes additional quantities of supplies plus a crank radio with a flashlight. An emergency radio is essential during a disaster. Ours includes a telescopic antenna, earphone jack, AC power adaptor and carrying strap. It can also be charged with 2 AA batteries. During a disaster a family needs to know the weather forecast, if an evacuation order is in effect, when power will be restored or what the roadway conditions are. This crank radio really works.
The safest size Ready Home Gift Boxes offer the largest quantities of emergency supplies plus our largest 107 piece first aid kit. They also include a survival tool that can be used for turning the gas off following an earthquake or other disaster. Finally, we add a Fire Resistant Document Bag. Use this bag to protect your property deeds, passports, birth certificates, and cash and family photos. This bag even holds legal size documents. Post disaster, families or businesses need these documents for insurance purposes. Putting your important papers in a central location that can survive a fire will inevitably streamline the process of resuming to normal.
